LH Foundation Inc. reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the Church’s mission as Chairman Bernie Liu and President Edmun Liu hosted a lunch reception on November 28, 2025, for key officials of AVEPRO (Agenzia della Santa Sede per la Valutazione e la Promozione della Qualità nelle Università e Facoltà Ecclesiastiche), the Vatican agency responsible for evaluating and promoting quality in ecclesiastical universities and faculties.
Held at the Loyola School of Theology (LST) in Quezon City, the gathering warmly welcomed Rev. Fr. Armand Puig i Tàrrech, AVEPRO President; Dr. Riccardo Cinquegrani, Director; Dr. Valerio Napoleoni, Secretary; Sr. Chiara Sandoz; and Montserrat Alom.
The AVEPRO delegation arrived in Manila on November 23 to lead the Regional Seminar for Asia and Oceania, held on November 25–26, 2025, at the University of Santo Tomas.
The two-day seminar convened around 70 administrators from ecclesiastical faculties, affiliated and aggregated institutions, seminaries, and schools of theology across 15 countries.
AVEPRO plays a vital role in the global Church by:
• Fostering a culture of quality within ecclesiastical academic institutions
• Strengthening internal and external quality-assurance processes;
• Ensuring alignment with the norms of the Holy See and the Bologna Process;
• Guiding institutions toward continuous improvement in governance, teaching, research, and student services.
This year’s regional seminar aimed to cultivate a shared vision and consistent practice of academic quality, deepen understanding of the Apostolic Constitution Veritatis Gaudium, and provide a comprehensive introduction to AVEPRO’s organizational framework and quality-promotion methods.

Jesuit officials from the Philippine Province and the Loyola School of Theology, alongside faculty members and students, also attended the reception—underscoring the shared commitment to advancing theological formation and strengthening ecclesiastical education across the region.
LH Foundation is honored to support this meaningful initiative, continuing the mission of its Founders to help communities grow in faith, draw more people closer to the Church, and create lasting, transformative change for generations to come.
